Load time broken down into tiers
Page load time depends on many individual factors and every one of them could be the reason for your website's slow performance. Tracking down the problem is a big step in a load time optimization process.
In order to help you with identifying the problems Gear5 allows you to see the times experienced by real users for all of the steps during loading of the page. These steps include: page redirects, DNS resolving, TCP connection, application's server time, downloading of the page content and finally page rendering in the user's web browser.
To collect these data we use Navigation Timing API fully implemented by most of the browsers (Chrome 6+, Firefox 7+, IE 9+, Android 4+). Unfortunately Safari does not yet support the Navigation Timing API, so for the users who use this browser we can measure only total page load time.
